Down To The Water

She's always sleeping

While I was on fire

She won't repeat it, no

Guess I didn't pay no mind to her

That's where I went wrong

That's when I lost my sense

Spent too many years

Licking my wounds

Feeling sorry for myself

I've been dying

Dying to live some more

Who am I kidding

I'm just beating down deaths front door

It won't be long now

Before I kick it in

Give my body back to the earth

Be forgotten

My mind keeps on changing

It'll pass me right by

You'll find it somewhere in a ghost town

Hanging out, fixed on the afterlife

Our fever's breaking

Lord, It's a crying shame

The way the world views the world as a foreign place

We keep on thinking

Things are gonna lighten up

But this rock's gonna sink

If we don't get off
